A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved this Tuesday (16) the increase in tariffs to residential consumers de Sergipe and Rio Grande do Norte, but the Agency reduced as rates residential in Ceará. The new values begin effective from Monday (22).

The distributor ESE (Energisa Sergipe Distribuidora de Energia SA) will have an adjustment of 1,43% that will affect around 870 thousand residential units. The main items that influenced the approved adjustment were the expenses with payments of sectoral charges, energy transmission costs and the removal of financial components established in the last tariff process.
The tariff adjustment of Neoenergia Cosern, Companhia Energética do Rio Grande do Norte, will be an adjustment of 8,14% and will impact around 1,58 million homes. According to ANEEL, the main people responsible for the adjustment were: expenses with payment of sectoral charges, energy transmission costs and financial components.
For residential consumers of the distributor Enel CE (Enel Distribuição Ceará), the reduction will be 3,10%. The measure will benefit approximately 3,9 million consumer units, in the state's 184 municipalities.
According to the Agency, the reduction in tariffs occurred due to costs in the acquisition and activities related to energy distribution. ANEEL It also pointed out that the drop was mainly due to the replacement of acquisition via bilateral contracting in the form of CCEAR (Energy Commercialization Contract in the Regulated Environment) of existing energy, with a significantly lower average price.
