A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved yesterday (2) average reduction of 2,43% in energy tariffs da Enel São Paulo Distribution. A new tariff comes into force on Thursday (4)

To the low voltage customers, which are residential and small businesses, the average reduction will be 2,11%. The medium and high voltage customers, which are generally industries and large businesses, will have a reduction in 3,52%.

O reason of the reduction is due to the is in costs with sectoral charges (-1,32%) and acquisition of energy (-1,06%). 

A tprice the passed on for distributor, called installment B fell, on average, -0,24% and contributed to reducing the total value of tariffs for the end consumer.

One of the energy bill é composed by costs beyond distribution service, and part of them are not managed by Enel SP, such as taxes, sectoral charges and generation and transmission costs energy, among others.

“It is important to clarify that, on an energy bill worth R $ 100, only R$22,7 are intended for Enel Distribution São Paulo for operation, expansion, maintenance of the power grid and for remuneration of investments. The other items are costs not managed by the company and passed on to generation and transmission companies and the State and Federal governments”, explained Hugo Lamin, director of Regulation at Enel Brasil.
