In less than a week, the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) authorized the start of operations of a new solar power plant in the state of Ceará and also released a new photovoltaic plant for testing in Paraíba. On June 2, the Agency authorized the operation of generating units UG1 to UG12, at UFV Flor de Mandacaru, in the municipality of Icapuí (CE).
The plant was installed by the company Aliança Energia, in partnership with Alsol Energias Renováveis, in the area of the Santo Inácio Wind Complex, totaling 1,03 MW. Aliança is a company formed by Cemig (45%) and Vale (55%). Six days earlier, on May 27, ANEEL had already authorized the start of tests at the Luzia 3 Solar Photovoltaic Plant, in Santa Luzia (PB). The project will begin testing 17 months ahead of its granted obligation.
The Luzia complex, formed by UFV Luzia 2 and Luzia 3, will have almost 120 MW of installed capacity when completed and is the first to begin testing in the municipality of Santa Luzia. In the city, there are 15 projects granted by ANEEL, totaling more than 750 MW of installed capacity.
Renewable plants
In addition to the announcement related to the two new solar power plants, ANEEL It also authorized the commercial operation of generating units UG1 and UG2 of the Machado Mineiro Small Hydroelectric Power Plant (SHP) for testing, totaling 1,72 MW. The Cemig plant is located between the municipalities of Águas Vermelhas and São João do Paraíso (MG).
In addition, the autarchy also authorized the operation of generating units UG1 to UG4, of the Ventos de São Bernardo wind farm, in the municipality of Ouricuri (PE), totaling 17,6 MW; and of generating units UG1 to UG6, of 3,465 MW each, of the Jandaíra IV wind farm, located in the city of the same name, in Rio Grande do Norte.
