AXIA Energia will install two photovoltaic plants integrated with storage systems at Brazilian Army units located in Tefé and São Gabriel da Cachoeira, in Amazonas.
The project, developed in partnership with Baterias Moura, foresees investments of R$ 9,5 million, financed by the Legal Amazon Development Account.
Currently, these facilities rely on diesel-fired thermal power plants, an expensive and highly polluting model. The shift to a renewable solution aims to eliminate the consumption of fossil fuels, reducing emissions and operating expenses.
AXIA (formerly Eletrobras) will be responsible for the engineering, while... Moura It will supply the equipment, carry out the construction work, and commission the systems.
The expectation is that the initiative will generate savings of R$ 39 million for the CCC (Energy Development Account), which finances diesel generation in isolated locations. without.
Units covered
In Tefé, the 16th Jungle Infantry Brigade will receive a 503,25 kWp system. This is the unit with the highest cost for standalone generation and the second worst loss rate.
The estimated investment is R$ 5,4 million. The solution should prevent almost 11 tons of CO₂ emissions over up to 15 years and generate a benefit of approximately R$ 23 million for CCC during the same period.
In São Gabriel da Cachoeira, the Rio Negro Border Command – 5th Jungle Infantry Battalion will be served by a 382 kWp system. Over up to 15 years, the expected benefit to the CCC is R$ 16 million, with a projected reduction of 8 tons of CO₂.
The estimated timeframe for developing and implementing both systems ranges from six to 18 months.
