A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) identified 11.415 requests for electricity supply requiring pending works at Neoenergia Coelba, of which 70% were overdue.

Due to these delays, the Agency decided, this Tuesday (2), to maintain the fine of R$ 59,5 million against the distributor.

According to ANEELThe penalty was justified by the failure to meet deadlines for fulfilling these requests, which involve both the supply of energy and the completion of... artworks and the development of studies for connection.

In several instances, the distributor exceeded the established regulatory deadlines, with delays of up to 295 days, or more than six times the 60-day period stipulated by the agency.

In other cases, delays reached 598 days, exceeding the 120-day limit for project completion.

A ANEEL It also noted that the results recovery plan, agreed with the distributor for the 2022/2023 cycle, did not bring significant progress in meeting regulatory obligations.
