The board of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) postponed the vote that would approve the annual tariff adjustment index for CPFL Paulista (Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz), which would come into effect immediately. After a long discussion, which even involved legal agreements, director Fernando Mosna requested to review the results. Even so, three directors had been in favor of the increase.
The proposed adjustment will have an average impact of 4,56% on consumers in São Paulo. Of these, 2,24% will affect high-voltage consumers and 5,58% will affect low-voltage consumers. CPFL Paulista operates in more than 230 municipalities in the state of São Paulo. The CPFL Group, of which the concessionaire is a part along with three other companies, covers approximately 700 municipalities, including the states of Minas Gerais, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to São Paulo.
The rapporteur director, Agnes Costa, voted to approve the adjustment, in addition to setting the TUSD (Distribution System Usage Tariffs) and TEs (Electric Energy Tariffs) applicable to CPFL Paulista consumers and users. She also approved the monthly amount of CDE (Energy Development Account) resources to be transferred by CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber) to CPFL Paulista, in order to cover the discounts removed from the tariff structure.
The rapporteur's vote was fully supported by the director general of ANEEL, Sandoval Feitosa, and director Ludimila Silva. Director Ricardo Tili did not anticipate his position. The expectation is that the process will return to the agenda at the next regular public meeting of the regulatory agency, scheduled for Tuesday (15).

The annual adjustment of the distributor EMS (Energisa Mato Grosso do Sul) was unanimously approved by the top management of the ANEEL. In a process also reported by Agnes Costa, the change was authorized, which should produce an increase of 1,33% for consumers, being 3,09% for high voltage and 0,69% for low voltage.
