Canadian Solar, a manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, launched this Tuesday (27) its new series of seven modules, including two monofacial CS7L-MS and CS7N-MS and two bifacial CS7L-MB-AG and CS7N-MB-AG.
The series is available in six power classes, ranging from 640-665 W and efficiency from 20,6 to 21,4%. The equipment will be available from April 2021, starting with offers in the Australia, China, Japan and Latin America region.
The panels will be produced mainly in China and production is expected to increase during the first and second quarter of next year, reaching total capacity of approximately 10 GW by the end of 2021.
Specifications of the new series
Canadian will hold, next Thursday (29), a webinar to give more details about the new line. However, the manufacturer reported that the HiKu7 CS7N-MS series is the most powerful that the company has brought to the market to date and is considered an ideal solution for commercial and industrial photovoltaic projects.
All panels in the series have dimensions of 2.384 × 1.303 × 35 mm, a weight of 35,7 kg and feature 132 monocrystalline half cells. According to the manufacturer, the nominal voltage in MPP varies from 37,5 V, for the 640 W panel, to 38,5 V for the 665 W version, while the nominal current in MPP is from 17,07 A to 17,28 A and the short-circuit current varies from 18,31 A to 18,51 A.
The ambient operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C and the maximum system voltage is 1.500 V. The panel has an anodized aluminum frame and 3,2 mm tempered glass. Its junction box is IP 68 rated. The device's operating temperature coefficient is -0,34% per degree Celsius.

The manufacturer also reported that warranty The manufacturing life is 12 years, while the performance guarantee is 25 years for monofacial modules and 30 years for bifacial panels. According to Canadian, the annual degradation is up to 0,55% for monofacial modules and 0,45% for bifacial panels, with degradation during the first year of life of the entire panel being up to 2%.

Since I was told that the imported ones are made for the climate and electrical grid of each country.
