The Proenergia Summit 2025, which will be held next Wednesday (24) and Thursday (25), at the Ceará Events Center, will bring together, in Fortaleza, authorities and big names linked to the sector.

Now in its seventh year, the event's organizing team estimates approximately 4 attendees. Luis Carlos Queiroz, president of Sindienergia-CE, highlighted the state's potential for fostering businesses related to the energy transition.

"We are experiencing a scenario of energy leadership that poses challenges to be discussed and overcome. And Ceará has a great opportunity to excel, given our ideal environment in terms of infrastructure, logistics, sun, wind, and a government that has already embraced this important cause. We need to overcome bottlenecks and embrace projects that will contribute to the transformation of our state, the Northeast region, and the country," he emphasized.

The director also emphasized that Proenergia is the ideal venue for these debates. "Proenergia has already established itself as the largest national event focused on discussing the energy transition, with its opportunities and challenges. Representatives from major national and international entities and companies have confirmed their attendance, and we are certain this will be another great edition," he added.

With the macro-theme "Connecting Brazil with Energy," the meeting will discuss everything from the expansion of renewable generation to the regulatory and infrastructure challenges needed to support the growth of the energy transition.

Presentations are planned on green hydrogen, energy storage, offshore wind, reform of the electricity sector, opening of the free market, as well as Brazil's role in the global geopolitical scenario.

Among the confirmed speakers are representatives from the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), ONS (National Electric System Operator), EPE (Energy Research Company), as well as executives from ABEEólica (Brazilian Wind Energy Association), ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), Elera Renewables, Neoenergia, Eletrobrás Chesf and Voltália.

The debate will also feature the participation of energy secretaries from several states and parliamentarians linked to the sector.

The opening keynote address will be led by Ricardo Cavalcante, president of FIEC and executive vice president of CNI, focusing on global energy transformation. The closing address will be given by philosopher and writer Luiz Felipe Pondé, who will discuss human behavior, ethics, and the challenges of modernity.

Tribute to Governor Elmano de Freitas

One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of the Jurandir Picanço Trophy to Ceará Governor Elmano de Freitas. The honor recognizes his work on behalf of the sector, particularly his leadership in attracting investment to the Green Hydrogen Hub in the Pecém Complex, the expansion of solar and wind farms, and the search for solutions to bottlenecks such as curtailment and the regularization of tax credits.

Spaces and news

In addition to the main stage, the 2025 edition will feature:

  • Technical Stage, for detailed presentations of solutions from companies such as Light COM, GoodWe, Nordex and Eper Group;
  • Proenergia 2025 Manifesto, dedicated to discussing regulatory modernization, digital infrastructure and renewable energy integration;
  • Members' Area, where 12 small and medium-sized companies in the sector will present their businesses;
  • Hackathon, which will reward the three best innovative solutions for the energy sector.

Startups will also have a space to showcase technologies focused on efficiency and digitalization of the electrical grid, reinforcing the innovative nature of the initiative.

The Proenergia Summit 2025 is organized by Sindienergia-CE, in partnership with FIEC and Sebrae, and is supported by the Government of Ceará. Confirmed sponsors include companies such as Casa dos Ventos, Light COM, TBEA, GoodWe, Qair, Nordex, B&Q Energia, Ceneged, and Sirtec, as well as institutions such as SESI and Grupo 3 Corações.
