The Bom Jardim Energia Solar 1 and 3 photovoltaic power generation complexes, located in the municipality of Icó, approximately 380 km from Fortaleza, in Ceará, now have new resources to advance their infrastructure.
The release of R$ 17 million, authorized by Sudene (Superintendence for the Development of the Northeast), last Thursday (12), aims to guarantee the pace of financial execution and the continuity of works for the gradual entry into operation of the projects that are the responsibility of Qair Brasil.
Of French origin, the Qair International Group is an independent renewable energy developer with a global presence, operating in solar, wind, and other power generation. green hydrogen and energy storage.
The amount authorized by Sudene comes from the FDNE (Northeast Development Fund), used by the agency as a strategic instrument to reduce infrastructure bottlenecks and stimulate the transition to a low-carbon economy in the region.
Investment in Icó
Bom Jardim 1 and 3 are part of a strategy to expand renewable energy generation capacity and attract new productive investments to the Northeast region. According to Heitor Freire, Director of Fund Management and Tax Incentives at Sudene, the total value of financing via FDNE for these two units is R$ 123,8 million.
Prior to this new disbursement of R$ 17 million, Sudene had already released R$ 88,7 million, representing the first installment of the contract. The initial amount, divided equally between the two parks – approximately R$ 44 million for each – covered 32% of the total investment in the project.
