Cemig (Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais) recently released the notice for the purchase of projects and enterprises involving wind and solar sources.

Interested parties must register by June 14th by expressing interest and sending the requested documents. The selection of projects will be carried out using criteria described in the notice, including characteristics and price.

Those interested in the sale of wind or solar projects and enterprises can participate in the notice, and the sale may be associated with an energy sale contract on the free market, with supply starting from 2025 and PPA deadlines (Power Purchase Agreement) December or 15 years.

To participate in the contest, projects and ventures must have a total installed capacity of at least 50 MW and must have a grant issued by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), being eligible for a 50% discount on TUSD/TUST (Distribution System Usage Tariff/Transmission System Usage Tariff), or having filed the grant application by February 28, 2022.

Auctions

Cemig has already held several auctions, with the participation of projects qualified in competitions promoted by ANEEL, from wind and solar sources, located in different regions of the country.

According to the company, in 2021 two auctions were held by the company for the purchase of incentivized energy, coming from greenfield projects, which attracted the market's attention and received around 10 GW of installed capacity in registered projects.

Over the next four years, the company will allocate resources of around R$5 billion to growth in generation, especially in wind and solar projects, with the aim of adding around 1 GW to its generating complex.

More information about the auction can be accessed on the website cemig. Questions and clarifications should be sent to email: chamapublica012022@cemig.com.br.
