Chinese manufacturer Envision Energy enters the Brazilian market with an initial contract to supply 630 MW of wind turbines. The agreement was signed with Casa dos Ventos and includes, in addition to the equipment supply, a 30-year service contract. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Envision is a Chinese multinational clean technology and renewable energy company focused on next-generation wind turbines, energy storage systems, and integrated solutions for the energy transition.
The company develops, manufactures, and markets technologies for renewable energy generation and management, including wind power, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and green hydrogen.
Under the terms of the contract, Envision will supply 8 MW Galileo AI turbines, a model that ranks among the highest installed power in Brazil to date.
According to House of the WindsThe agreement could evolve beyond the supply of equipment, encompassing collaboration in digital asset management throughout the entire lifecycle, AI-powered data centers, and integrated green hydrogen and ammonia solutions.
According to Lucas Araripe, CEO of Casa dos Ventos, the partnership reflects the Chinese manufacturer's long-term commitment to the country. "This collaboration will enable the delivery of high-quality, large-scale wind power projects with reliability and performance, while simultaneously accelerating the growth of emerging industries and attracting advanced technologies," stated the executive.
Henry Peng, Senior Vice President and President of Latin America and the European Region at Envision Energy, highlighted the intention to strengthen the local production chain.
“Our partnership with Casa dos Ventos goes far beyond the supply of turbines. We are committed to exploring themes such as AI-enabled net-zero emissions solutions at the system level in wind energy, AIDC, green hydrogen, energy storage, and sustainable aviation fuel,” he said.
