Cuba is experiencing a crisis marked by prolonged power outages and difficulties in the healthcare system, directly affecting the daily lives of the population. Reports indicate that several regions are facing extended blackouts, while hospitals are operating with significant limitations.

Energy shortages have impacted essential services, including medical facilities. Healthcare professionals report challenges in performing procedures due to a lack of supplies and adequate infrastructure. In some cases, there are reports of surgeries being postponed or performed under restricted conditions.

Furthermore, the drug supply chain is also facing disruptions, which compromises patient treatment and generates concern among experts in the field. The loss of medicines due to lack of adequate refrigeration has been mentioned as one of the effects of the energy crisis.

The country's economic and structural landscape contributes to the worsening situation. Local authorities and analysts point to factors such as limitations in energy generation, import difficulties, and financial constraints as elements influencing the current context.

The Cuban population demonstrates diverse perceptions about the causes of the crisis. While some attribute the problems to internal factors, others highlight the impacts of external conditions and the international scenario.

The situation continues to be monitored by organizations and experts, while emergency and structural measures are being discussed to mitigate the effects of the crisis and restore normalcy to essential services.
