Flamengo will take the field on December 10th against Cruz Azul, the 2025 Concacaf Champions League winner, at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Qatar.
The arena, with a capacity of around 45 spectators, is among the most sustainable stadiums in the world.
The stadium uses photovoltaic panels to generate electricity for maintenance and lighting, and also has a cooling system powered by energy generated at the Al Kharsaah Solar Power Plant, which has a capacity of 800 MW and is installed in an area of 10 km².
In addition to solar energy, the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium was built with an emphasis on efficiency: the use of recycled materials in the renovation reaches 90%, construction resources were reused, and the structure reduces water and electricity consumption compared to conventional stadiums.
After the 2022 World Cup, the stadium became a sports and community center, with football and cricket fields, an equestrian track, and recreational areas, an alternative to the waste of underutilized arenas.
Whoever wins this "Derby of the Americas" will face Pyramids FC (Egypt) on December 13th, and the winner of that match will go to the final of the... Intercontinental Cup, scheduled for December 17th, against Paris Saint-Germain.
