The Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC), SENAI Ceará and GoodWe have entered into a strategic partnership to create a cutting-edge training center focused on training professionals for the photovoltaic and energy storage sector.

The agreement was sealed during a ceremony held at GoodWe's headquarters in Suzhou, China, and aims to train technicians and engineers prepared for the challenges of new trends in the solar energy sector.

The new training center will be located at the Prof. Jurandir Picanço Center of Excellence for Energy Transition, located at SENAI Barra do Ceará. The new laboratory is expected to begin operations in 2025.

The laboratory will feature state-of-the-art equipment, including on-grid and hybrid inverters, storage solutions, and a carport with solar modules. BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics). The technology integrates photovoltaic modules directly into the architecture of buildings.

The project will also include battery systems, with emphasis on a large three-phase system with 112 kWh of storage capacity, and batteries for single-phase and three-phase systems, all equipped with battery management and surge suppression systems. fires.

Students will have the opportunity to design, scale, install, and test these systems in real time, providing valuable hands-on experience.

Innovation and professional qualification

According to GoodWe, the laboratory's major innovation will be the ability to monitor and control the performance of solar energy systems using smart meters installed in the laboratory.

The systems will be connected to online monitoring platforms, such as SEMS from GoodWe, allowing participants to have a broad view of how photovoltaic systems work.

Additionally, there will be updated courses on installing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, reflecting the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.

Fábio Mendes, GoodWe's vice president for South America, highlighted that the project represents the convergence of education and technological innovation.

"This laboratory represents a milestone in our strategy for technological integration in Brazil and Latin America. We've created an environment where theory and practice converge to train professionals ready to face market challenges. This partnership reinforces our confidence in Brazil's potential as a hub for clean energy innovation," he emphasized.

Ricardo Cavalcante, president of FIEC, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, highlighting its importance for the qualification of professionals in Ceará.

"I thank GoodWe for this important partnership, as we believe that, alongside large companies, we can train professionals capable of dealing with new market trends," said Cavalcante.

Paulo André Holanda, regional director of SENAI Ceará, also expressed the educational impact of the project.

"Partnerships with cutting-edge companies like GoodWe are essential for SENAI to fulfill its mission of preparing professionals for the future. This space will raise the level of technical education, offering practical experiences that simulate real-world situations in the sector and strengthening the regional solar energy ecosystem," he emphasized.
