Another large-scale project reinforcing the potential of solar energy in Brazil has begun operating in the southern region of the country. The ground-mounted solar power plant has an installed capacity of 1,4 MWp and uses eight 125 kW Growatt MAX inverters, equipment designed to offer high efficiency, operational reliability, and consistent performance over many years.

The project was developed using Growatt technology and installed by the integrator Patoeste Solar. Projects of this scale highlight the role of high-power inverters in advancing distributed solar generation, enabling greater energy efficiency, reduced electricity costs, and financial predictability for consumers.

The plant was installed in São Lourenço do Oeste, in western Santa Catarina, and operates on an energy compensation model through a cooperative, allowing different consumers to share the benefits of solar generation.

According to Milton Carlos, general manager of Patoeste Solar, the project involved an investment of approximately R$ 5 million, with an estimated return in about five years. The executive also emphasizes that the infrastructure was planned to guarantee a high level of operational reliability.

"The system features state-of-the-art materials and equipment, dedicated housing for the equipment, real-time monitoring with alarms and high-resolution cameras, as well as contracted preventive maintenance throughout the year," he says.

For GrowattProjects of this type demonstrate how high-power inverters can enable robust and efficient solar power plants in different shared generation models, contributing to expanding the presence of solar energy in the Brazilian business sector.

Industry experts emphasize that initiatives like this demonstrate that solar energy is already a mature and strategic solution, capable of combining technology, financial return, and sustainability in medium and large-scale generation projects.
