The average price of residential solar systems in Brazil showed distinct trends in the third quarter of 2025. According to the Solfácil Radar, smaller projects (up to 6 kWp) registered an average increase, while those with higher power saw a price reduction during the same period.
According to Fábio Carrara, CEO and founder of Solfácil, this behavior reflects a trend reversal in the market. "While smaller projects saw price increases driven by high demand, larger systems faced a drop, largely due to the contraction of this segment," he said.
"This change has also stimulated the advancement of hybrid solutions, with integrators specializing in the installation of battery-powered systems, which are gaining ground among residential consumers seeking greater autonomy and efficiency," he emphasized.

Small powers under pressure
According to the study, integrators working with residential projects up to 6 kWp were the first to pass on the increase in photovoltaic module prices, maintaining tighter profit margins. The report indicates that the national average cost reached R$ 2,49/Wp, with the increase concentrated mainly in the lower power ranges.
In systems above 6 kWp, the drop in demand has led to a reduction in prices, especially in medium and large-scale residential power plant projects. This movement reflects the current period of heightened competition and the search for... technical differentiation, such as the use of smart batteries and inverters.
Regional differences
The study also shows that the Central-West region remains the cheapest for installing solar energy systems in the country, with an average price of R$ 2,37/Wp, followed by the Northeast, which stood at R$ 2,44/Wp. The North region continues to have the highest prices in the country (R$ 2,61/Wp), while the South showed the most significant increase in the quarter, of about 3%, diverging from the national average.
