The photovoltaic modules from the manufacturer Tsun Power with power of 560 W, 565 W and 570 W, had their certificates suspended at the company DNL Comercio e Serviços Ltda, this Friday (31), with INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology).
A information is available on the agency's own consultation portal. The models mentioned are:
- TS560S8B-144;
- TS560S8B-144NT;
- TS565S8B-144NT;
- TS570S8B-144NT.
According to INMETRO, the reason for the suspension was “due to failure in tests; suspension due to other types of non-conformities not related to tests or suspension due to abandonment/termination of contract”. The agency also added that such an act results from “irregularity, fraud or falsehood in statements or documentary evidence”.

With the suspension of certification, modules from these registrations can no longer be sold in Brazil, including units in stock.
INMETRO inspection
In November 2024, the INMETRO had already rejected the 560 W model from Tsun Power, collected in Mato Grosso, which presented significantly lower potency than that declared by the product manufacturer on the label.
According to the agency, at the time the inspection was motivated by the growing demand for photovoltaic equipment and by complaints registered with the INMETRO ombudsman.
On the occasion, engineer Márcio André Brito, president of INMETRO, reported that the initiative sought to ensure that products sold in the country meet technical and regulatory standards, reinforcing confidence in the adoption of solar energy.
“Since 2023, Inmetro has been mapping the trade of these plates in the country, which resulted in targeted inspections to demonstrate whether these plates sold in Brazil have the powers defined by the manufacturer and importer,” said the president.

And now? What happens to those who purchased these panels? Will they take the loss or will they be compensated? What procedure will be adopted to recover the losses? Let “Inmetro” speak.
I, as a professional in the field.
I support imetro's attitude!!!!
And there are still distributors selling Tsun. If the manufacturer is not responsible for providing a product that meets the specifications described in the equipment, how can we trust a company that works this way, with questionable quality at the very least. I have never worked with these modules and after this news, I intend to never work with them again.
We, who are here at the forefront of marketing these products as integrators, recognize the importance of this attitude by Inmetro. With this type of deception, the market presented a very large price disparity in the final cost to the customer, consequently, many sales were lost to people who were more careless than professional, deceiving customers and obstructing the path of those who work seriously. Congratulations Inmetro, if you look for it you will find more!!
From what I understand, the boards are not defective or out of any standard. They are offering boards with a lower generation than described. And now what are they going to do?
I believe that Inmetro is right.
it is necessary to have this supervision.
INMETRO IS TO BE CONGRATULATED FOR THIS ACHIEVEMENT. The company must have control over what matters. It is co-responsible for what matters.
Just change the certification to the real value of generation achieved and reduce the value of the plates proportional to what was not generated and put them up for sale, it's that simple.
