The Climate Summit — a preparatory meeting for the Climate Summit — began this Thursday (6) in Belém (PA). COP30, a UN (United Nations) conference on climate change that will be hosted by the capital of Pará state between November 10 and 21.

The event brings together representatives from over 100 countries, including 57 heads of state and government, and officially opens the political phase of the conference. Throughout this Thursday (6) and Friday (7), three thematic plenary sessions will be held.

The first session takes place this afternoon, with the theme "Climate and Nature, Forests and Oceans," while the others, scheduled for Friday, will address "Just and Inclusive Energy Transition" and "Green Economy and Climate Finance."
