Brazil continues to advance in the energy transition with the entry into operation of two photovoltaic projects in the Northeast.
The Lins Photovoltaic Complex, located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE), and the Dunamis Photovoltaic Complex, in Santana do Matos (RN), are now part of the national electricity matrix.
Lins Complex
The Lins Photovoltaic Complex, located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante, Ceará, began operations on September 18th and is part of the Federal Government's New PAC (New Growth Acceleration Program).
Comprising 59 generating units distributed across two plants, Lins 01 and Lins 02, the project has a combined installed capacity of 182 MW. Lins 01 has 29 generating units, totaling 90 MW, while Lins 02 has 30 units and a total capacity of 92 MW.
The complex will be connected to the Basic Grid via the SE 230 kV Pecém II substation, ensuring efficient integration of the system into the national electricity grid.
The environmental licensing process was conducted by SEMACE-CE, the State Environmental Superintendence, which has already issued the Operating Licenses for the plants and the associated transmission line.
Dunamis Complex
The Dunamis Photovoltaic Complex, in turn, began operations on September 24 in Santana do Matos, Rio Grande do Norte. Comprising 36 generating units distributed across four plants, Dunamis I through IV, the complex has an installed capacity of 117,54 MW.
This project is also part of the New PAC, with an estimated investment of R$569 million
In addition to contributing to the diversification of the energy matrix, the project plays a strategic role in the economic and social development of the region, generating jobs and stimulating the local economy.
Connection to the Basic Grid will be made through a step-up substation and a 230 kV transmission line, in a double circuit, approximately 100 meters long.
The environmental licensing was conducted by the IDEMA-RN Institute (Sustainable Development and Environment of Rio Grande do Norte), which issued the Operating Licenses for the plants and the transmission line.
