Outlet Premium Salvador, one of the main shopping centers in the region, located on the BA-099 highway, in Camaçari (BA), inaugurated an electric charging station with an energy storage system (BESS) this Thursday (16).
With an installed capacity of 1,4 MW and an estimated daily generation of around 7 MWh from solar energy, the project was designed to offer high efficiency, greater energy autonomy, and support for the expansion of electric mobility in the region.
The facility now features over 80 ultra-fast chargers, supported by built-in energy storage systems (BESS), which ensure greater flexibility in power supply and contribute to the stability of the electrical system, especially during peak demand times.
The project was conceived by e-Drive Energy and has the support of ABS (Bahia Association of Solar Energy) and IDEAL TECH, responsible for the development and execution of the electrical system, including the complete infrastructure, the photovoltaic system and the substation.
“This initiative directly contributes to reducing carbon emissions, as well as encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles by expanding the available infrastructure,” said Raissa Matos, Vice President of ABS and CEO of IDEAL TECH.
Samile Filgueiras, Director of Electromobility at ABS, points out that the use of BESS positions the charging station within a more advanced concept of energy infrastructure, integrating different solutions in a single space.
"It's not just a charging point, but a true smart energy hub, capable of integrating electric mobility, distributed generation, and real-time energy management," he emphasized.
