Solution is ideal for places where the customer wants to save on energy bills without being subject to power outages

The savings brought about by solar energy are increasingly indispensable in Brazilian businesses. In addition to saving on energy bills, the certainty of always having electricity available to serve customers has drawn attention as supply problems worsen in several regions of Brazil.

This need for savings and energy security was what led Alfa Auto Posto, which has units in the cities of Araguainha and Ponte Branca, located in the state of Mato Grosso, to seek solar energy solutions.

The gas stations installed retrofit on-grid systems from PHB Solar, with a 6 kW on-grid inverter, three 3 kW off-grid inverters and 12 545 W JA Solar photovoltaic modules in each of their units.

According to Felipe Moura, partner at RM Projetos Elétricos, which sold and installed the system, the client approached the company looking for a solution to maintain customer service even in cases of power outages. As he already had solar energy at home and knew the savings benefits, he thought about solar energy with batteries as a backup solution.

Moura was already familiar with the PHB Retrofit solution and spoke with our engineering team during the Campo Grande GD forum, where we presented this solution, which perfectly fit the need to serve the load without interruption.

Containing a complete solution, the customer saves on energy bills through the on-grid inverter. The same boards that generate energy and send credits to the concessionaire automatically switch to off-grid inverters in the event of a grid failure.

The power outage is barely noticeable. As a result, the entire gas station continues to operate using clean, renewable energy.

The retrofit solar UPS system is ideal for places where the customer wants to save on energy bills without being subject to power outages.

Customers who already have a conventional system with on-grid inverters can retrofit the installation by installing PHB's off-grid inverters, together with batteries and the company's transfer boards.

Currently, it is possible to serve loads of up to 45 kW with continuous operation, also guaranteeing the generation of energy credits from the concessionaire.

What a horrible project, I don’t even know where to start…
uses lead batteries, 4 inversions for an installation of only 6kwp. A single hybrid inverter from another brand would solve this problem and would be much cheaper for the end customer.
And I don't believe it can support 45kw loads with these 240Ah lead batteries.

I completely agree, my friend, whoever did this project doesn't even know how to do a load dimensioning.

Definitely a bad design, maybe it can be used for about 30 minutes, then the batteries are gone.

I have already purchased more than 300 solar kits from PHB. A trusted company in the market. You can trust them.
