The manufacturer Jetion Solar, in partnership with sustainability group WElink and CTIEC, has completed the 1 MW Puerto Real 133 photovoltaic project in Cardíz, Spain. According to the company, this was the first phase of a 233 MW photovoltaic plant. In total, the project will have three phases.

According to the photovoltaic module manufacturer, the Puerto Real 1 plant took about seven months to be connected to the grid. The project was developed by the WElink Group, with CTIEC (China Triumph International Engineering Company) responsible for its design, supervision and construction of the plant.

In this first phase, more than 330 Jetion Solar panels from the Jenius series were implemented. The JT SGh 395 W has 144 monocrystalline cells and has an efficiency of up to 20,8%. According to Jetion, Puerto Real 1 is one of the largest non-subsidized solar plants built in Spain. The second phase of the project, the 2 MW Puerto Real 50, is in the preparatory phase. The Jetion panels are expected to be shipped in the third quarter and the project is expected to be connected to the grid in the last quarter of 2021.
