According to the entity, distributed generation solar energy systems in homes currently total around 13 GW of installed power spread across more than 5,5 municipalities.
In Brazil, the operational capacity of locally generated solar energy exceeds 28 GW, distributed in homes, businesses, industries, rural properties and public buildings, supplying more than 3,5 million UCs (consumer units).
Rodrigo Sauaia, CEO of ABSOLAR, highlights that solar energy is today the most democratic and accessible source of clean energy for consumers, especially residential consumers.
The executive also recalls that, currently, there are over one hundred lines of financing available to help democratize access, including financial institutions, fintechs and credit unions.
“Thus, solar energy is currently one of the main and accessible solutions for Brazilian consumers to achieve more savings, autonomy, freedom and predictability,” he said.
