São Paulo became, this Monday (10), the first state Brazilian to reach the mark of 300 thousand solar energy systems installed in the segment of distributed micro and minigeneration, according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).

With just over 46 million inhabitants, the 645 municipalities in São Paulo already accumulate more than 2,68 GW of power in the modality, which encompasses connections made in homes, facades and small and medium-sized plots of land.

Em February this year, the state surpassed Minas Gerais and became the location with the largest national photovoltaic generation in the distributed generation segment.

According to ANEEL, the systems installed in residences (257,8K) and commercial establishments (25,8 thousand) are the most prevalent in São Paulo.

São Paulo, São José dos Campos, Campinas, Ribeirão Preto and Presidente Prudente are the counties with the highest number of systems in operation in the state, respectively. Together, the five cities have more than 46 thousand connections.

CPFL Paulista and Elektro are the Concessionaires with the largest number of photovoltaic systems registered in its concession areas, with 134,7 thousand and 60,2 thousand active connections.

In terms of generation modalities, more than 268,7 thousand systems are self-generated, while 28,8 thousand are remote self-consumption and 2,4 thousand are shared generation. The number of multiple consumer units in the state is 14, according to the ANEEL.
