Banco Safra announced the FIP Copernicus, its first infrastructure FIP (Equity Investment Fund) from Safra Asset, COPN11.

According to the institution, it is a fund that invests in solar plants. The offer of COPN11 reached the additional lot and its maximum and final amount was R$ 250 million. Demand was above 40% of the maximum offer limit.

The launch event was held earlier this week, kicking off share negotiations. “FIP Copérnico is a fund that invests in solar plants, contributing to the transition to a low-carbon economy and, consequently, to the future of the environment,” the bank said.

According to Crop Asset, more than 3,5 customers participated in the offering. The fund's objective is to invest in assets in the solar energy sector, more specifically in the DG (distributed generation) sector.

“The launch of the fund is an important part of Safra Asset's strategy to increase its participation in alternative products, offering investors access to investment themes that enable differentiated returns for shareholders in the long term, as well as the possibility of greater diversification in clients' portfolios,” the bank said in a press release.

According to Safra, COPN11 offers customers residing in Brazil income tax exemption in income and capital gains; dividend distribution from 2025; and is expected to IPCA return plus rate between 9,5% and 10,5%.
