Serrana Solar, a distributor of photovoltaic equipment with 17 years of experience in the Brazilian market, announced that it has filed for judicial reorganization (bankruptcy protection).
In an official statement addressed to clients and suppliers, the company stated that the decision comes amid an adverse scenario faced by the sector in 2025, marked by credit restrictions, rising interest rates, and economic and operational challenges.
The company stated to its clients, suppliers, and partners that the measure aims to preserve its operations and ensure the fulfillment of its financial commitments.
Serrana Solar emphasizes that nine of its 17 years of operation have been dedicated exclusively to the photovoltaic sector, but that it has been impacted by political and economic movements, as well as obstacles in the import of supplies, which has put pressure on operating costs.
This context was compounded by the high interest rates practiced in the financial market. The company also reported that the majority of its creditors are financial institutions and that the remaining cases are being addressed.
According to the company, the request for judicial reorganization will allow for an organized restructuring of financial obligations, ensuring equal treatment for creditors.

Operation continues.
Despite filing for bankruptcy protection, Serrana Solar maintains its confidence in the potential of the Brazilian photovoltaic sector and assures that it will continue working on the development of clean energy in the country.
Among the next steps, the company reports that it is working on developing a recovery plan, focusing on financial restructuring and resuming growth. The plan should be presented within the legal deadlines established by the Judiciary.
In the statement, the company also affirms that the judicial reorganization is a strategic decision to strengthen its financial structure and preserve the credibility built up over the years.
