The use of solar energy in the Brazilian business sector registered strong acceleration throughout 2025. According to a survey by TTS Energia, based on official balance sheets from... ANEEL According to the National Electric Energy Agency, more than 217 companies adopted their own generation between January and October of this year.
This totaled approximately 2 GW of new installed capacity dedicated to serving commercial, service, and industrial operations. The expansion of the technology is distributed throughout the country, reflecting a consistent movement towards energy independence and reduced operating costs.
According to the mapping, companies invested over R$ 9 billion in approximately 56 new solar power plants installed on rooftops, canopies, and ground-mounted structures, spread across more than 4,3 municipalities. This progress reinforces the consolidation of distributed generation as a competitive and financially predictable solution for different business profiles.
The study highlights a state-level breakdown that demonstrates the speed of growth. Minas Gerais leads by a wide margin, registering 102 new subscriptions and 334 MW installed. São Paulo follows, with 32 companies and 277 MW.
Paraná ranks third, with 21 systems and 194 MW. Mato Grosso follows, with 15,4 units and 206 MW, while Bahia closes the list of the top five states, with 7 connections and 63 MW implemented.
TTS Energia, a company specializing in the engineering and construction of solar power plants, signed contracts for projects of varying sizes throughout the year. Among the examples cited is the installation of 130 photovoltaic modules at Aggreko's operations center in Jaguariúna (SP), resulting in 79,3 kWp of power.
Another highlight is the project developed for Henkel's first technology center in Latin America, which received more than 580 modules, distributed in two mini-power plants — one on the building's roof and the other above the parking lot — totaling approximately 360 kWp.
For Jacques Hulshof, CEO of TTS Energia, the expansion of corporate solar energy marks a shift in perspective. According to him, the source has ceased to be merely a sustainable resource and has become "a concrete opportunity for operational modernization, cost reduction, and strengthening of environmental governance."
Hulshof adds that companies that invest in their own power generation gain autonomy, predictability, and reinforce commitments that are now crucial for reputation and competitiveness.
