A TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology DASolar announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in DASolar, in a strategic move aimed at strengthening its position in the global solar energy chain and accelerating vertical integration based on N-type technology.

According to the official statement, the operation aims to integrate assets considered strategic and increase operational efficiency through the adoption of more advanced photovoltaic technologies.

TCL Zhonghuan expects to combine its industrial expertise with DASolar's experience in manufacturing high-efficiency TOPCon cells and modules, creating an integrated portfolio of next-generation N-type products.

The transaction takes place within a context of global consolidation in the photovoltaic sector, driven by the need for economies of scale, cost reduction, and technological advancement in higher energy performance solutions.

The companies acknowledge that the results of the integration will require time to be fully validated, but they believe the operation represents more than just a corporate restructuring.

According to the companies, the alliance marks a turning point for the sector, signaling a strategy geared towards coexistence, collaboration, and mutual success throughout the solar value chain.
