The manufacturer Tier 1 AE Solar reaffirmed its partnership with the equipment distributor CorSolar, company of Melo Cordeiro Group, with the delivery of around 80 thousand solar panels, equivalent to 40 MW. “Our projection is to reach a total of 200 MW of power delivered throughout Brazil by 2023”, he says Alexandre Sathler, manager of strategic planning and Market Intelligence at Cordeiro.

“CorSolar comes from a consolidated group with more than 40 years of experience in the energy market. In this partnership, we found a very robust and solid company that can expand the offer of our products in the Brazilian market along with a differentiated service for the integrator.” it says Ramon Nuche, country manager at AE Solar do Brasil.

A AE Solar and CorSolar have signed a partnership during the Intersolar South America last year and have been working together ever since. On that occasion, the Melo Cordeiro Group company acquired the first units of photovoltaic modules with an integrated chip and the good reception of the product led to a 40 MW agreement for the first half of 2022.

The partnership did not happen by chance. It is aligned with Cor Solar's strategy of growing in the market alongside a consolidated brand, with a high level of technology and excellent quality, already widely recognized in other markets.

Amid the exponential growth of photovoltaic generation in Brazil, the objective of the two companies is to guarantee the availability of products for CorSolar's end customers and accredited integrators, in a scenario of likely lack of equipment due to high international demand and disruptions in the chain of supplies.

“There is a global shortage of silicon, the raw material for photovoltaic panels, and microchips, in addition to difficulties in the flow of international maritime transport, which has become more expensive and has had its transit time lengthened,” said Sathler. “Anyone who opts for national distributors who did not queue up on the production lines in advance will be left without product,” he added.

To meet the demand for generators and modules from AE Solar and other partners, the Melo Cordeiro Group invested in the acquisition of a new general warehouse to store materials, such as solar panels, inverters, fixing structures, among others, and the production of photovoltaic generators.

Located in São Paulo (SP), the unit covers 5000 m² and allows the company to guarantee the availability of products for immediate delivery. According to CorSolar, the space will also house a technical testing laboratory with equipment to carry out quality tests, by sampling, and technical support for its customers.

According to Nuche, AE Solar considers the partnership with the Melo Cordeiro Group company to be relevant due to Cor Solar's differences. “Industrial production has been in the Melo Cordeiro Group’s DNA for over 40 years, in addition to having one of the largest foreign trade companies in Brazil. The extensive experience in importing products, combined with industrial experience in the area of electrical cables, is an excellent combination for building a large solar distributor”, he concluded.
