The director of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), Agnes Costa, requested the Federal Prosecutor's Office for a detailed legal analysis on the feasibility of Brazil including MMGD (micro and mini distributed generation), specifically solar, in the curtailment mechanism – mandatory cuts in energy generation.

The request is based on regulatory and legal issues related to the modality, especially in situations of operational risk of the SIN (National Interconnected System). See here the request made by the judge
