AISWEI, the parent company of the Solplanet brand, has reached a new level in the international photovoltaic landscape by ranking among the world's leading manufacturers of solar inverters.
According to the 2024 solar inverter shipment ranking, published by international consultancy Wood Mackenzie, the company secured sixth place overall and recorded a 28% increase, the highest growth among the ten global market leaders.
Furthermore, the company consolidated its leadership in the residential segment, taking first place in global shipments of string inverters, and reached third position in the C&I (Commercial and Industrial) segment.
In China, its main market, AISWEI also ranked third in total shipments, while expanding its presence in several international regions.
“Our strong performance in the Wood Mackenzie rankings reflects not only our growth in shipments, but also the trust our customers place in our technology,” said Dr. Zhang Yong, President of AISWEI.
"By combining our engineering expertise with close local partnerships, we aim to offer reliable, easy-to-install solutions that help accelerate the adoption of solar energy worldwide," the executive added.
Global expansion and diversified portfolio
Operating under the Solplanet brand out of China, AISWEI has accelerated its global presence, building partnerships in established energy markets such as Europe and Australia, and growing rapidly in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and other emerging regions.
According to Wood Mackenzie, in Latin America and the Caribbean, Solplanet was among the five largest inverter brands in 2024, with a strong performance in Brazil.
In Europe, the company's portfolio includes residential and three-phase hybrid inverters for C&I applications, expanding its relevance in the energy transition segment and energy storage.
AISWEI, formerly known as SMA's Chinese subsidiary, develops solutions for inverters, storage systems, vehicle chargers, and artificial intelligence-based energy management platforms.
The company currently maintains four R&D centers in Suzhou, Shanghai, Xi'an and Cologne, and a manufacturing facility in Yangzhong.
According to the company, with the growing demand for renewable energy and storage solutions, "AISWEI and Solplanet are committed to supporting integrators, installers, distributors, and EPCs with high-quality products, accessible service networks, and in-depth knowledge of each local market's requirements."
