A Aldo Solar, distribution brand of the Descarbonize Soluções Group, expanded its product portfolio to include advanced solutions in energy storage and electric mobility. The objective is to meet the growing demand for sustainable and efficient technologies, following global energy transition trends.
The company's portfolio includes cutting-edge UCB lithium-ion batteries, energy management systems (EMS) and integrated solutions that allow efficient storage of electricity generated by photovoltaic systems.
These technologies not only increase energy self-sufficiency, but also help reduce costs and ensure continuous electricity supply, even in times of low solar generation or power grid failures.
“The integration of energy storage solutions into our portfolio is a direct response to our customers’ need for greater autonomy and energy efficiency,” he highlighted. Nuno Verças, CEO of the Descarbonize Group / Aldo Solar.
“We are committed to providing products that not only meet today’s needs, but also prepare our customers for the future of renewable energy,” he added.
According to Greener, Brazil saw an 87% increase in the installed capacity of solar energy storage systems in 2023, reflecting the growing importance of this technology.
Electric mobility portfolio
Among the products offered by Aldo are chargers for Growatt EVs (electric vehicles) of different models and capacities, suitable for both residential and commercial use.
According to the distributor, the stations are equipped with cutting-edge technologies, which allow remote monitoring, load adjustment and integration with energy management systems.
“The inclusion of electric mobility solutions in our portfolio reflects our commitment to sustainability and innovation. We are prepared to support the infrastructure necessary for the mass adoption of electric vehicles, providing high quality and efficient equipment”, emphasized Verças.
“UCB and Growatt imbue tradition, experience, global operations and high technology and quality in their products – which reinforces Aldo’s position of always working with the best brands and equipment on the market”, concluded the executive.

Electromobility grows in Brazil
O electric mobility market has gained prominence in Brazil, driven by public incentive policies and environmental awareness among the population. According to data from ABV (Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association), the number of electric and hybrid vehicles in circulation in the country grew 66% in 2023, totaling more than 200 thousand units.
This year, in fact, ABVE stated that April was the second best month in the Association's historical series, once again bringing significant numbers for the electrified light vehicle segment in Brazil. Sales reached 15.206 units, with growth of 12% compared to March (13.613) and 217% compared to April 2023 (4.793)
The highlights were plug-in vehicles (BEV+PHEV), with external recharging. They reached a significant 70% of electrified sales in the month – a new record for this technology.
The accumulated number for the first four months of 2024 totals 51.296 electrified light vehicles registered, with an increase of 162% over the same period in 2023 (19.579).
Since May 2023, the number of electrified vehicle registrations has gradually increased, with an average growth rate of around 12% monthly.
“These numbers indicate that consumer preference continues to be strong and growing for electrified vehicles, especially plug-in vehicles with external charging, which are the most modern models with the most technology,” said Ricardo Bastos, president of ABVE.
“The Brazilian market for electric and hybrid vehicles continues to evolve very quickly. ABVE's forecast is that it will reach a 10% share of total sales this year and will surpass the mark of 150 thousand units sold”, he concluded.
Sales of plug-in electric vehicles (BEV and PHEV) in April were 10.440 units (70% of the total number of electrified vehicles registered in the month). The remaining 30% (4.766) were divided between hybrid and micro-hybrid models (HEV, HEV Flex and MHEV).
