Aldo Solar, the distribution brand of the Descarbonize Soluções Group, took a strategic step to strengthen its presence in the photovoltaic market by opening a new CD (distribution center) in Recife (PE).

The initiative aims to provide greater agility, support and security in serving integrators and customers in the region. According to the company, the investment reinforces the commitment to sustainable development, not only in the Northeast, but throughout the country.

“The expansion plan had been in place for two years, but the economic scenario influenced the exact timing of the implementation. 2023 was a challenging year for the entire sector, with excess inventory and pricing difficulties. During 2024, we were able to consolidate operations and capitalize the company, making this the ideal time to invest in expansion,” explained Nuno Verças, CEO of Grupo Descarbonize Soluções.

The choice of the Northeast and the benefits for the sector

Recife was chosen due to the region’s relevance to the solar sector in Brazil. According to Verças, in addition to the Northeast’s representation in the market, Aldo Solar has always had loyal local partners, who have stood by Descarbonize even in the most challenging times. “We have an obligation to these partners, and this initiative reinforces our long-term commitment to the segment and to those who have always trusted us.”

The new DC occupies an area of approximately 3 square meters and is strategically located close to the Port of Suape, facilitating the import and distribution of equipment in the region. The company also intends to hire local carriers, which should optimize logistics and further reduce delivery times.

More than a distribution center: support and training

The project will also be used to carry out technical training in partnership with suppliers, addressing innovative solutions in solar energy and storage systems.

“Our goal is to create an environment where we can share knowledge with integrators and improve the technical qualifications of the sector,” the executive emphasized. During the inauguration, one of the distributor’s partners, together with representatives from GoodWe, presented battery and hybrid inverter solutions, exemplifying the type of training that will be offered.

Aldo also plans to hold monthly meetings in several states in the Northeast to strengthen ties with partners and present new products. “We want to be increasingly closer to our integrators, promoting constant exchanges and adding value to the market,” concluded the CEO.

Solar potential in the Northeast

According to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), the Northeast stands out as one of the main photovoltaic distributed generation hubs in Brazil, occupying second place in the national ranking of installed systems with 709.369 plants in operation.

In total, the region already benefits more than 1 million consumer units through the energy credit system. In addition, the installed capacity in the region reaches 7,22 GW, highlighting the growing adoption of solar energy as a viable and sustainable alternative for homes, businesses and industries.

This progress is driven by the high solar potential of the Northeast, which has one of the highest incidences of solar radiation in the country. With promising prospects, the trend is for the source to continue growing in the region, consolidating itself as an essential part of sustainable development and the diversification of the Brazilian energy matrix.
