Heavy rains on Monday (22) caused interruptions in the energy supply for approximately 900 Enel customers in Greater ABC and the southern part of the capital of São Paulo.
In a publication in X, the concessionaire reported that the municipalities of Santo André, São Bernardo, São Caetano and Diadema, as well as neighborhoods such as Jabaquara, Vila Mariana and Ipiranga, are among the most affected areas.
According to Enel, the morning outage was caused by a power outage at a substation belonging to the Isa Energia Brasil transmission company. The company also reported trees and branches falling onto the power grid in several parts of the metropolitan region, worsening the damage.
Inland cities recorded strong winds throughout the day. According to the Agency Brazil, gusts reached 92 km/h in Ourinhos, 86 km/h in Bragança Paulista and 72 km/h in São Miguel Arcanjo.
Between the morning and early afternoon, the Fire Department recorded 284 calls for fallen trees, eight reports of landslides and 13 reports of flooding across the state.

In the city of Vinhedo, a power outage disrupted operations at the ETA 1 and ETA 2 Water Treatment Plants in Vinhedo, São Paulo, according to Sanebavi. The outage could affect reservoir levels and the water supply in 62 neighborhoods across the city.
"The responsible utility, CPFL, has already been contacted with a request for priority restoration, as this is an essential service. Sanebavi expects the power supply to be restored as soon as possible." informed the company.
The cities of Paulínia and Socorro also had their water supply service affected due to the interruption in the power supply, according to Sabesp.
