After three months and several requests for review, the board of directors of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) decided, by majority, to approve the tariff adjustment for Light Electricity Services.
The regulatory authority's top brass therefore opted to approve the percentages suggested by CEO Sandoval Feitosa, which will produce an average effect of -1,67%, with 0,52% for high-voltage consumers and -2,52% for low-voltage consumers. The values will come into effect retroactively from March 15.
The matter was on the agenda of ANEEL since March 11, when the vote was first put to the vote. Before Sandoval, the reporting director Fernando Mosna had suggested another percentage of readjustment (-0,63% average effect). In the same session, director Ludimila Silva asked for a review, putting forward another index (-5,76%).
Former director Ricardo Tili, who left the regulatory agency in May, also asked for a review when he presented the values defended by Sandoval. In the session on Tuesday (17), Agnes changed her vote, following Sandoval's position.
Since Tili had already announced his vote while he was still in office, his successor, Daniel Danna, did not participate in this vote. The former director had presented his vote on April 29, the date on which Sandoval requested to review the documents.
Since then, the process was recorded in the minutes of three meetings, on May 27, June 3 and 10, and was always removed from the agenda. Now approved, it alleviates the concerns of Light consumers.
Also on Tuesday, the board of directors of ANEEL approved the annual tariff adjustment of Copel Distribution (Copel-DIS), in force from June 24, 2025. In this case, the average effect for consumers should be 2,02%, being 2,99% for high voltage consumers and 1,55% for low voltage consumers.
