The board of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) revoked new concessions of companies that were authorized to install wind power plants in the Northeast. The withdrawals, at the request of the suppliers, would account for a capacity that would be installed of 564,8 MW. The main project that will no longer take place would be in Campo Formoso, in Bahia. Ventos de São Januário Energias Renováveis aimed to install six wind generators (Eol), totaling 268 MW. The municipality of Santana do Matos, in Rio Grande do Norte, would host the Pixote Pequeno and Sítio Pixote I and II plants. They would contribute an installed capacity of 215 MW.
