The recent publication of ABNT NBR 17193:2025 brought important guidelines to increase the safety and integrity of photovoltaic systems, with a special focus on fire prevention and electrical protection.

The standard addresses issues such as cable organization, arc flash prevention, reliable equipotential bonding, and component durability throughout the systems' lifetime.

In this scenario, ARaymond, a company specializing in mounting solutions and components for photovoltaic systems, has stood out for presenting solutions that go beyond the norm.

The technologies developed by the company contribute to safety, efficiency and cost reduction in photovoltaic projects, both in installation and maintenance.

To meet these needs, the manufacturer offers metal clips designed to ensure secure and long-lasting cable fastening, preventing electrical faults and improving system reliability.

The clips are characterized by having rounded edges, which prevents damage to the cable insulation and minimizes the risk of short circuits.

The standard also requires effective equipotential bonding, which is essential for the electrical safety of the system, as well as efficient fixing of the modules and adequate grounding to minimize electrical failures.

To this end, the manufacturer developed module fixing and grounding clips that, in addition to ensuring fixation, perform equipotentialization in a single process.

According to the company, this helps reduce electrical failures and shock risks, increasing the reliability of the photovoltaic system over time.

Economic Benefits

ARaymond's solutions offer significant economic benefits for photovoltaic projects, positively impacting both CAPEX (investment costs) and OPEX (operational and maintenance costs).

In addition to regulatory compliance, Rafael Avila, Key Account Manager, highlighted the solutions that ARaymond provides:

  • Reduction in the number of components → Fewer points of failure and reduced logistics costs;
    Anti-theft design → Increasing system security;
  • Faster installation → Savings on labor and considerable reduction in construction time; Less maintenance → Eliminates periodic retightening, reducing O&M costs;
  • Designed to ensure high durability and efficiency, these technologies undergo rigorous testing in harsh environmental conditions, ensuring consistent and reliable performance throughout the system's lifespan.

“Steel materials with anti-corrosive surface treatment for harsh environments have proven resistance, with an anti-corrosive treatment, with performance exceeding 720 hours of resistance in salt spray tests,” said Avila.

According to the company, the level of resistance guarantees the longevity and safety of the installations, even in the most severe weather conditions.

With over 18 GWp of projects installed globally, the company has been instrumental in several partnerships, offering solutions for carport systems, fixed structures, trackers, roofs and floats.

“ARaymond’s global presence extends to several companies with global reach, including large investors, integrators and EPC contractors,” Avila.

In Brazil, the company has contributed to the implementation of over 250 MWp of projects, including partnerships with companies such as PKC, Photoenergy, Isoeste Metálica, Metal Light, Racchini, KWP Snef, and 3E in initiatives such as Mais Luz para Todos and Reserva Energia. In addition, other international partnerships are under development, with new developments expected soon—which will further strengthen the ARaymond brand's presence among strategic players.

Avila, these collaborations reinforce the company's role in advancing solar energy in the country, with a portfolio ranging from large projects to medium-sized enterprises.

Adaptation and flexibility in projects

One of the advantages of the manufacturer's solutions is the flexibility in photovoltaic systems, especially in retrofit projects.

When systems need to be reconfigured or expanded, such as with larger, more powerful modules, the company's fixing and grounding clips allow for efficient adjustments without the need to replace the entire structure.

This offers a low-cost, high-efficiency solution for customers looking to optimize the performance of their solar systems without major changes.

Performance and durability tests

The company also highlighted that it conducts rigorous performance tests, including static and dynamic load, fatigue and corrosion resistance tests, to ensure that its solutions meet the highest standards required by the largest photovoltaic module manufacturers.

In Brazil, these tests are often conducted in partnership with Unicamp (LESF-MV), where the corporation validated its products with renowned manufacturers, such as Canadian Solar, including clips subjected to CCT (Cyclic Corrosion Test) tests, which guarantee durability against corrosion even in challenging environments.

"Our clips are designed to last throughout the entire lifespan of a solar system. Considering that a photovoltaic module has a lifespan of 25 to 30 years, our clips exceed this longevity by offering secure fastening, electrical connection, and protection against galvanic corrosion, with a surface treatment rich in aluminum and zinc and using quality metals," concluded Avila.

Special Invitation from ARaymond's CEO to Energy Sector Players

"We invite our partners and customers to learn more about ARaymond's solutions for fastening in harsh environments. We are available to present test results, discuss specific applications, and explore new opportunities for collaboration—whether for new projects, operations and maintenance (O&M), or retrofits of existing systems. Contact us to schedule a technical or sales meeting," emphasized Alexander Pircher, CEO of ARaymond.
