The Federal Government will present, by the end of August, the three-year auction calendar for the electricity sector. The information was confirmed by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, during a virtual event held last Friday (21) with ambassador Rubens Barbosa.
Albuquerque also announced that the “Consumer MP” should be published this week, which aims to reduce the cost of energy.
According to the minister, the government intends to create an environment that favors expansion auctions and provides security for investments in the post-coronavirus pandemic recovery.
He also guaranteed that by the end of the month the government must complete the review of the PDE 2030 (Ten-Year Energy Plan).
O The document considers the effects of the pandemic and projects an increase of around 35% in electricity consumption over the next ten years, with around 25% of the matrix made up of solar and wind energy.
