A Bonö Fotovoltaico, a solar energy generation engineering and projects company for the corporate and agribusiness markets, has just completed seven years and more than a thousand projects completed, with around 150 MW of solar energy sold throughout Brazil.
Last year, the company's managerial revenue increased by around 125%, reaching almost R$300 million, compared to R$133 million in 2021. The power injected last year also doubled compared to 2021, jumping from 42,3 MW to 86,7 MW in 2022.
Vitor Ferrari, CEO of Bonö Fotovoltaico, highlights that the company’s focus has always been on innovating the way it does things. “Over the past seven years, we have built a reputation for authority and expertise in the solar market. Now, we feel the need to look even more closely at our employees, in a more organized, planned and assertive way.”
“The promotion of good practices is very important to us and, therefore, we want a healthy and collaborative environment so that the sustainability of our business is maintained and this is reflected in the actions with our customers and partners”, says Ferrari.
Recently, the company completed its largest and most significant solar project, and the largest in Latin America: the construction of the 4,55 MW Caximba solar plant in Curitiba (PR), which will generate around 2 thousand tons of energy compensation. carbon dioxide per year.
This is a photovoltaic system installed on top of a deactivated landfill in the city and which involved partnerships between the city hall of the capital of Paraná, German government entities and international bodies for the sustainable development of cities around the world, C40 Cities.
For Marcelo Abuhamad, Commercial Director of Grupo Bonö Energia, the complexity of the project was due to it being the largest solar project in Latin America on a landfill.
“In addition to the obstacle involving soil instability, the company had to deal with the large volume of rain that occurred at the end of the year, but fortunately everything went well”, explained Abuhamad.
The executive also highlights that one of the differences in this project was the use of local labor. To achieve this, Böno committed to hiring only employees from the region, which was a huge challenge.
“It was a joy and pride for us to be able to participate in the unprecedented Caximba project, designed by the mayor of Curitiba, Rafael Greca. We developed a special construction system that would follow the atypical behavior of the soil and, at the same time, support and sustain the photovoltaic structure. It is a complex work, very well structured and one of the best by Bonö Fotovoltaico throughout history”, concluded Abuhamad.
