Brametal, a producer of hot-dip galvanized metal structures, announced that it is investing R$ 7 million in the construction of a new factory, located in the Linhares (ES) complex, dedicated to products to serve the photovoltaic market.
“To encourage national suppliers to join us, we will invest heavily in the nationalization of components, seeking to develop suppliers and partners in the country, further reducing our imports”, said Marcos Bercht, Industrial Director at Brametal.
“This strategy will be fundamental for our consolidation in the solar sector, as we will be able to provide customer assistance in the future, with credibility and security”, reinforced the executive.
According to Bercht, in addition to the investment in the new plant, an additional R$ 5 million will be applied to the development of the engineering sector, and new products, thus expanding production capacity.
“With this, we will be able to reduce delivery time, we will have stock of raw materials and finished products for the entire line to meet market demands”, he concluded.
Partnerships
Last year, EDP handed over one of the largest solar plants in Espírito Santo to Brametal, which has been operating in the photovoltaic segment since 2014. Located in Linhares, the plant is made up of 3,780 modules distributed over an area of around 40 thousand meters², approximately the size of six football fields.
The system features tracking technology, in which the panels move according to changes in the angle of the sun's rays to make greater use of the radiation. The company also has projects with other partner companies such as Voltalia and ENGIE, among others, aiming to expand its participation in the solar market.
