A BYD signed a the partnership to Olos technology Raízen Generates Developer, a joint venture between Raízen and the Gera Group dedicated to distributed generation projects, to expand clean energy generation capacity.

The alliance involves the use of expertise from greentech in Full EPC (Engineering, Purchasing and Construction, in Portuguese) in the development processes of a the project which comprises nine solar plants.

The plants are distributed in Betânia, Boa Viagem and Amontada, in the Ceará; São João and Goytacazes Farm, in Rio de Janeiro; Ceará Mirim, in Rio Grande do Norte; and Santarém, in Para.

According to BYD, the systems, already under construction, should begin to generate energy names of May. In total, the capacity do the project is de 26,5 MW. The power generation from the plants will be injected into the electrical grid and shared with Raízen's own business networks and partners based on the generation of credits granted by the local distributor itself, which provide savings on energy bills.

For the construction project of the projects to be assertive, BYD, with its know-how in the Full EPC service, contributed studies, sizing da demand, processes de executive engineering, proper planning de acquisition, implementation / execution e management of Raízen Gera Developer plants.

“We started this project in the design and engineering part in September 2023 and we just delivered it with a representative power. The partnership comes to prove and consolidate BYD’s expertise in this photovoltaic market”, he stated Socrates Rodrigues, project director at BYD Energy.
