Amidst the mountains of the Circuito das Águas Paulista, a café in Serra Negra has attracted attention not only for the aroma of its special beans, but for an initiative of sustainability, innovation and electric mobility.

Kaffeehaus, a coffee shop located on Rodovia Engenheiro Constâncio Cintra, recently installed a solar-powered electric charging station, becoming a reference among residents and tourists who want to charge their electric or hybrid vehicles.

In total, two semi-fast alternating current chargers were used, with a power of 22 kW, installed in partnership with the company Moby.

The model offers a faster recharge time compared to a conventional residential socket – which can take around 20 hours – reducing this period to between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the type of vehicle battery.

The chargers are powered by energy generated by a 28,6 kWp photovoltaic system, installed before the chargers, by the Solarprime franchise network.

The electric station in Serra Negra has the Moby Recarga solution, which provides a tool that integrates chargers and different management and payment applications, with the possibility of controlling payments at the stations, with prices of how much will be charged per kWh, management of the energy used in real time and whether the delivery is in accordance with the customer's needs.

Lincon Souza, Moby's commercial director, explains that the charging station was installed on a loan-for-use basis, which allows businesses to provide customers with zero cost for the charging point. "We are expanding this model of installing chargers in the Circuito das Águas and we plan to install a station in the city of Socorro-SP," he said.

For Natália Contesini, manager of coffeehouse, the idea was to create an environment where technology and well-being go hand in hand. “Our audience values comfort and practicality, so why not create a space where people can charge their cars and at the same time enjoy a unique experience of specialty coffees and relax a little?”

The investment has paid off. Since the charging point was installed, the flow of customers has increased, especially tourists who are just passing through. “Many stop here to charge their cars, as it is difficult to find charging points in the city, and they end up staying, consuming and getting to know our space”, added Natália.
