Campinas (SP) will host one of the most relevant debates in the solar energy sector on May 22: the future of energy storage in the high-end market. The city was chosen to host the new edition of Canadian Talks, promoted by Canadian Solar.

Canadian Talks aims to delve deeper into the world of residential batteries and hybrid solutions. The goal is to prepare integrators to become trusted partners and true brand ambassadors in their regions.

“We understand that batteries are here to complement solar energy and are increasingly being highlighted for new projects involving homes and industry. This is the moment to present our product, showing the differences and benefits that our product can bring to the end customer,” said Rodrigo Melão, company spokesperson.

During the meeting, new commercial approaches and business models will be presented. The proposal is to hold an open chat, with strong interaction, to guide integrators on the most promising niches.

Cube EP

The event will also feature the technical presence of the EP Cube, Canadian Solar's residential energy storage system. The solution was designed with a focus on the high-end public.

With its all-in-one structure, the EP Cube can be installed inside the home, as it is compact, quiet and safe. Its modern design has attracted the attention of architects, interior designers and especially end consumers, who seek solutions that combine technology, functionality and aesthetic appeal in the residential environment.

Three operating modes and a focus on comfort

The product has three operating modes – Time of Use, Self Consumption and Backup. The latter has been the most sought after, as it offers the customer the experience of keeping the energy working even during power outages.

Challenges and opportunities in the sector

According to Canadian, one of the main focuses is to offer training and technical support, enabling integrators to present the solution efficiently and professionally.

“The luxury market is very dynamic and demanding. Today, our biggest challenge is finding qualified personnel to install the systems. To this end, we are providing training for integrators so they know how to sell and present the product to the customer correctly.”

“The sales pitch for battery systems is different from solar systems. There is a lot of opportunity in the high-end market, where customers are not looking for price, but rather quality, which benefits the sales pitch for our product,” said Rodrigo.

Canadian Solar expects accelerated growth in the energy storage segment in Brazil, especially among high-end homes that traditionally use fossil fuel generators. In this context, according to the spokesperson, batteries emerge as a quieter, cleaner and low-maintenance alternative.
