CCEE opens registrations for Hackathon aimed at innovation in the electrical sector

The three best evaluated projects will receive mentoring from CCEE; Registration ends March 18th

With an eye on opportunities in the free energy market, CCEE (Electricity Trading Chamber) launched a hackathon with the aim of driving new products and operations through collaboration between companies e startups specialized in programming, natural e software development.

The three best projects will receive mentoring from the CCEE team, along with the following awards: 1st place – R$10 thousand; 2nd place – R$6 thousand; and 3rd place – R$4 thousand.

Registration is open until March 18th, and the process is free. Projects must be submitted exclusively on the website Hackathon CCEE 2024. Click here to access.

Second Leonardo Cruz, Head of Innovation at CCEE, the initiative seeks to create a favorable environment for the exchange of knowledge and the exploration of specific opportunities for the Brazilian electricity sector.

“We are acting as catalysts for new business given the countless opportunities we see with the evolution of the energy market. At the same time, this combination of efforts with companies and startups that breathe innovation contributes to the evolution of CCEE itself, which is always looking for improvements that can make the daily lives of our agents simpler and more agile”, reinforces Cruz.

Dynamics of hackathon 

O hackathon will be divided into two online phases. The first, of 25 to 28 March, will focus on exploring the challenge, validating the solution and beginning technological development. Participants will use the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) made available by CCEE in the simulation environment of the hackathon.

In the second stage, 2th to 4th April, participants will improve their solutions, seeking greater technical and business quality. The final of the event is scheduled for April 5th, in São Paulo (SP).

Who can apply?

Teams made up of: University students e graduated professionals with an entrepreneurial profile. People who have already founded companies, who participate in innovation and entrepreneurship events, carry out extracurricular activities and courses related to the topic, have leadership and innovation soft skills, among others.

Registration is restricted to people over 18 years of age. It is also essential that teams are composed of members who have knowledge/skills in at least one of the areas of knowledge listed below:

  • Business, marketing and commercial modeling;
  • Graphic design in general and preferably in user experience;
  • Back-end, web, mobile development, among others;
  • Students or graduates in technical areas related to the theme of the event.
