Next Tuesday (30), the CRA-SP (São Paulo Regional Administration Council), in partnership with the GENE (Energy Business Excellence Group), will perform the webinar “Decarbonization of Energy Generation in the Legal Amazon in the Context of COP 30”.
Free and completely online, the event will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel “At the Service of the Administration".
The online event will be attended by Aurelio de Andrade Souza, vice president of Energy and Innovation at NSI Energy, advisor and director at ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation), It is like Adm. Fernando Mario Rodrigues Marques, coordinator of the GENE, as a moderator.
Experts will analyze the specific characteristics of the Brazilian energy matrix, focusing on isolated systems in the Amazon, in the context of decarbonization of energy generation.
In addition to addressing actions to address the climate crisis, discuss the Brazilian environmental agenda in the context of COP 30 and the importance of role of the administration professional for the effectiveness of projects in managing this energy transition.
A COP 30 (30th UN Conference on Climate Change), will take place next year in Belém (PA). The focus of the conference is the energy transition global and themes such as sustainability process e clean energy e renewable.
According to Marques, the replacement of fossil energy sources for renewable alternatives for decarbonization of the Amazon, in addition to contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions, also promotes the development of a green economy, create sustainable jobs and protects the local biodiversity.
“Administration plays a crucial role in this process, as the implementation of decarbonization policies requires efficient and strategic management. Administrators, whether public or private, are responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the actions necessary to achieve emissions reduction targets, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting technological innovation. Proper management of human, financial and material resources is essential for the success of these initiatives”, he added.
“It is expected to raise awareness among the population and stakeholders about the importance of decarbonization and the need for urgent actions to face the climate crisis. With this debate, the aim is to boost society's commitment to sustainability, promote innovation and ensure that the Legal Amazon becomes a model of sustainable energy development on the global stage” – added Marques about the expectations of the event.
