The City of Curitiba (PR) launched, this Monday (26), a bidding notice to carry out work on the Pirâmide Solar da Caximba, in the city's old landfill.
The project was prepared in partnership with the company C40, in accordance with the Distributed Generation rules of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), and envisages the implementation of a solar energy generation unit in the neighborhood.
In total, more than ten thousand photovoltaic panels will be installed on site, totaling 4.55 MWp. The work will take 11 months and will have a maximum total cost of R$ 27 million.
In addition to this project, the municipal government also announced that it will soon launch a second stage of the notice, which foresees the implementation of four photovoltaic systems on the roofs of Rodoferroviária and the bus terminals of Santa Cândida, Boqueirão and Pinheirinho. Together, the spaces will have an installed capacity of 8.1MWp and should supply more than 40% of the terminals' own energy consumption.
On the roof of the Rodoferroviária and the Santa Cândida, Boqueirão and Pinheirinho terminals, around 8 thousand solar panels will be installed, with a total generation of 3.46 MWp. Installation will take up to seven months and the cost of these systems will be a maximum of R$ 19 million.
Installations at the terminals will take advantage of existing structures, requiring small adjustments and reinforcements to the structures, with the exception of the Pinheirinho and Boqueirão terminals, where the total replacement of the tiles is planned. The City’s total investment in the five systems is up to R$ 45.9 million.
