The company already serves consumers in 473 municipalities in São Paulo.
“In the last month, with the government’s announcement of the new tariff flag, we have noticed a significant increase in companies interested in acquiring shares in our plants.s, especially small and medium-sized commercial and service companies, such as bakeries, restaurants, markets, commercial offices and even residences”, pointed out Alexandre Bueno, commercial director of Sun Mobi.

The photovoltaic generation service by quotas does not require user investments or the installation of solar plants on properties. The user is supplied by plants that sell credits. The system is connected to an energy distributor and is carried out through a subscription and adjustment of the consumption profile. Thus, the credits are available through monthly payments.
The records of the ANEEL point out that the country has more than 360 thousand establishments supplied by photovoltaic generation through quotas. The service is provided by around 11,4 solar plants, spread across almost 1,8 municipalities, in all national states.
The state of São Paulo is one of the references in this service, with around 19 thousand consumer units served by remote solar power, with leadership in the trade and services sector, with 9 thousand establishments.
Do total users in Sao Paulo, 1,4 thousand consumers joined the modality this year, and traders represent the vast majority of this migration, around a thousand consumer units.
“We currently have the largest coverage area in the state of SP and, therefore, we have consolidated ourselves as the main provider of this service to the people of São Paulo, with emphasis on the launch, in mid-2023, of the first service available in the capital and metropolitan region”, commented the Sun Mobi executive.
Bueno also highlighted that remote solar energy via quotas is a global trend, mainly to increase the competitiveness of products and services from small businesses in Brazil and other countries. “Without construction or investment in their own systems, entrepreneurs are free from tariff flags and can enter the so-called ESG agenda.”
