According to deputy Ângela Garrote (PP-AL), the parliamentarian has been receiving several complaints from consumers against the Alagoas distributor. Using the platform Legislative Assembly, the parliamentarian said last Tuesday (31) that the company has made it difficult for consumers to access the distribution system, alleging a reversal of flow.
Faced with so many complaints, the deputy requested a public hearing to investigate the allegations against Equatorial Alagoas.
“Today, I want to bring to light several complaints that, in addition to harming the consumer, have also harmed the production chain in the energy sector. Companies and entrepreneurs in the sector are going bankrupt day after day due to the arbitrary actions committed by Equatorial Alagoas. This October, for example, we had a 58% drop in connected systems compared to October last year,” he said.
Ângela said that the concessionaire uses technical arguments to hinder the consumer's right to generate their own energy. “Equatorial has been identifying the flow reversal without carrying out adequate studies, not providing the necessary mandatory information to the consumer, and not even providing timely service when requested, violating several regulatory provisions”, he concluded.
O The same problem was discussed yesterday (31/10) in City Council of Patos de Minas (MG). Councilors in the region claim to have received numerous complaints from the population regarding the service provided by Cemig-D.
Representatives of solar energy companies were present and reported that the Minas Gerais concessionaire was denying solar energy projects, on the grounds that the network cannot support new installations.
