Discussion of RN482: ANEEL announces that it did not receive contributions

In several places around the world and also in Brazil, it has already been proven that distributed electricity generation

You may have heard about the discussions surrounding changes to the rules for distributed electricity generation in Brazil. It is an issue that affects the pockets of millions of Brazilians who want to generate their own energy. It also affects many Brazilians who work in the photovoltaic solar energy sector, a market that is experiencing great expansion in Brazil.

In several places around the world and also in Brazil, it has already been proven that the distributed generation of electricity with photovoltaic systems is responsible for generating countless direct and indirect jobs, spread throughout the national territory. The solar energy market involves an extensive chain of manufacturers, traders, installers, financiers, insurers, involving professionals from different technical areas and at different levels.

We publish here on Solar Channel two articles talking about these discussions and their impacts on the solar energy sector:

Impacts of the change to RN 482 – distributed generation rules

Proposals to change RN 482 – Calculation model adopted by ANEEL

After months of discussions throughout society on a very important issue for the country, ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) announced that it did not receive some contributions sent to the public hearing that will define changes in regulation of the distributed generation sector. The following message was sent by email to one of the Solar Channel:

“We inform you that, due to a problem with ANEEL servers, some contributions sent to Public Hearing 001/2019 (which deals with the rules for Distributed Generation) were not received. We therefore ask that you send your contribution again to the email [email protected]. Please note that the deadline for submitting contributions to the aforementioned hearing has been extended until May 9, 2019.” (Superintendency of Administrative Mediation, Sectoral Ombudsman and Public Participation)

We hope that all people and companies that sent contributions have enough time to reformulate their texts and send them to ANEEL. The deadline is 05/09. Be sure to participate if you have proposals for improving the distributed generation sector. This debate is of fundamental importance for Brazil and can define the future of the solar energy sector. The budgets of millions of citizens and the jobs of thousands of professionals are at stake. Participate!
