Electricity matrix closes the first 5 months of the year with an expansion of 4,6 GW

A electric matrix Brazilian closed the first five months do year on expansion de 4.610,20 MW, agreement on data da ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).

in total, Agency registered the entry of 144 plants em commercial operation, being 62 wind farms (2.006,9 MW) and 55 solar photovoltaic (2.033,2 MW). Joints, represent 87,6% da capacity installed in the year.

Regarding thermoelectric plants, 19 plants (476,7 MW), five small hydroelectric plants (82,1 MW) and three hydroelectric generating plants (11,4 MW) were registered.

Considering only the month of May, the expansion in the matrix was 1.267,1 MW concentrated in 45 plants, 17 of which were wind (363,9 MW), 24 solar photovoltaic (789,8 MW) and four thermoelectric plants (113,4 MW) .

According to ANEEL, the ventures with operations starting in 2023, they are located in 19 states, with emphasis on Bahia (1.559,7 MW), Minas Gerais (1.107,8 MW), Rio Grande do Norte (798,9 MW) and Piauí (358,9 MW ). The state of Bahia was the one with the greatest expansion in May, totaling 992,6 MW.

    São Paulo surpassed Minas Gerais in generation a few days ago and the numbers are showing a good increase. The sector’s growth trend remains strong!
